HAPPY NOVEMBER We are in quarter two for the 2025-2026 school year.

Member-at-Large:

Subcommittee captains, guest speakers, ad hoc committee, and members who want to bring project ideas are welcome to join the Executive Board meetings. Let Mrs. Huyghe know! Our next chapter meeting is on November 6th, 2025.

Partners, Participants, and volunteers: welcome back! Stay in touch for volunteer opportunities and service hours! Check out the Friends of Foster Kids website and FaceBook page for service with FoFK. Chapter & community service will be in the quarter folders on Schoology for members.

Smart Moves

SMART Moves — Session 8

Supporting Our Community with the Sterling Heights Police Department

Event Details:
Join Officer Schuette and the Sterling Heights Police Department for SMART Moves Session 8 at Black Elementary! Students will help facilitate two sessions focused on making smart, positive choices and strengthening community connections.

Date: Wednesday, November 13
Time: 9:00 – 10:45 AM
Location: Black Elementary School

Sessions:

Two sessions with Officer Schuette

Student Participation:
Please confirm which students are signed up to attend. If you’re using the same sign-up links as last year, those can be used again.
Names (or sign-up links) will be shared with Officer Schuette so the department knows who to expect.

Preparation:
Students should review the Facilitator Guide and PowerPoint for Session 8 prior to attending to ensure they are ready to assist and engage effectively.
