The Clinton Watershed refers to the land area that drains into the Clinton River and its connected lakes and streams in southeast Michigan. The watershed plays an important role in supplying clean water, supporting wildlife habitats, and preventing flooding through natural drainage systems.
Responsibilities:
Protect local water quality by reducing litter, chemical runoff, and pollution
Support community cleanups and educational programs that maintain the health of the river system
Promote awareness about how everyday actions (like yard care and waste disposal) affect the watershed
Encourage sustainable practices to preserve natural resources for future generations
Requirements:
Show respect for nature and the environment
Participate responsibly in watershed activities or volunteer programs
Be willing to learn about local ecosystems and conservation efforts
Represent your community with a positive and helpful attitude
